Maegan Hawley
Founder & CFO
After living in DC for 15 years, Maegan recently moved to Chattanooga, TN along with her husband, son and two crazy pups. They love to hike, travel, and explore new restaurants… They even have a nerdy, 5-point rating system for new restaurants they try. Maegan founded ETHICGOODS in 2011 while on a trip to Thailand and is passionate about business having a positive impact on the community!
Jenilee Hurley
Chief Sales Officer
After dreaming of being a dentist while in 3rd grade, Jenilee decided she enjoyed talking more than evaluating smiles, which makes her the best at building relationships with our wholesale partners! She loves laughing about embarrassing moments, discovering favorite restaurants and her family, which includes her husband, two children, five chickens and two brand new kittens.
Katie Gonzales
Chief Merchandising Officer
Katie is our queen of product. Originally from Tennessee but a Kentucky Wildcat fan to the core. After earning a degree in Merchandising, Apparel, and Textiles, she moved to the DMV where she met her husband. They now have three kids that keep them laughing and running around 24/7. She is a master at puzzles and is excellent at driving in reverse. She recognizes it’s the little things in life that take you places… backwards.
Bethany Strumpell
Chief Communications Officer
Bethany is a beach girl at heart. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband and three young, enthusiastic kids. She is an expert in Googling anything she needs to know and loves strategy and problem solving. With degrees in Public Relations and Mental Health Counseling, Bethany is passionate about telling the stories of our artisans and customers in a way that empowers and spreads joy and hope to women around the world.
MaryRuth Ayscue
Office Manager
The one who keeps this ship sailing. Her organization is only matched by her comedic timing. Having studied Biology and Humanitarian Response, she is sometimes surprised to find herself working for a jewelry company. But MaryRuth loves creating order in the beautiful chaos of the behind-the-scenes world of a bad-ass small business that provides dignified employment to women around the world.
